【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtomeasuretheloadrequiredtotearaleatherstrapfastenedinabuckle.Tannersandleatherbuyershavefoundthatthistestgivesanindicationoftheresistanceofleathertotearing.Thistestmethodshouldbesuitableforspecificationacceptance,designpurposes,manufacturingcontrol,development,andresearch.Thethicknessofthespecimenanddirectionoftearrelativetothebackbonewillaffecttheuniformityofthetestresults.Thistestmethodmaynotapplywhentheconditionsofthetestemployeddifferwidelyfromthosespecifiedinthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodisintendedforuseonalltypesofleathertodeterminetheloadrequiredtotearaleatherstrapfastenedinabuckle.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytowetblue.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
